Lethargic Chick-Should I worry?

Hi everyone,

I just received a bantam mix from Meyer Hatchery on Tuesday 11/2 and this little cutie (I’m pretty sure she’s a mottled Cochin) was doing great the first day but yesterday she was barely walking around and never ate on her own. In the afternoon I got her to drink some electrolyte/probiotic enriched water with an eye dropper. I’m getting ready to go make my rounds, any advice??

Warm sugar water. She likely is suffering from delayed shipping stress. Give her warm sugar water every hour with Poultry Nutri-drench until she's bouncing around like the others.

Definitely is something to be concerned about. At that age they will die on you pretty quickly. Agree with the above. My first day with chicks I used to put a little molasses and plain yogurt in water for them and it always seemed to get them over the hump.
