I have a 5 weeks old Black Copper Marans chick, when she arrived she had club foot, which as successfully treated. In the last few day she has become very lethargic. When I picked her up today one of her feet looks like what I imagine scaly leg looks like? I soaked her foot in an Epsom salt soak and will apply coconut oil when it dries, but in the meantime is there anything can do to put some pep in her step? To further complicate things, I am leaving for vacation in an hour.

Is the photo before or after you soaked the foot and applied oil?
Where is she being kept?
What does her poop look like?
Is there swelling of the hock (joint) as well?
Generally Scaly Leg Mites affects both legs/feet, it's hard to tell, but the other one looks to be o.k. I'm leaning more toward this foot having some type of infection, especially since she is lethargic.

Soaking in epsom salts is good, but you may want to apply triple antibiotic ointment to the foot and leg. Keep her on clean dry bedding and try to keep the feet as dry as possible. The soaking and application of ointment needs to be done at least 1x a day.

Try to keep her hydrated - this is priority, offer her some poultry vitamins and see that she is eating her chick starter. You can offer the chick starter wet and add some chopped egg or tuna to entice her after she is drinking well.
