Lethargic Chicken?

My Easter egger hen, Chip, has been acting slow and lethargic. I believe it’s because I left the tops of strawberries in their treat, but I’m also wondering if she could be egg bound. She has been drinking a lot of water and just standing still and closing her eyes. Any advice on how to help her?

Hello! I think she has a reproductive infection. Can you start her on calcium citrate , one capsule a day for a week.

Do you have aqua mox? I would start her on that as well. 250mg twice a day for a week.

Citrate is pretty cheap and the bottle is huge. Aqua mox you can order on tsc, it's not too expensive, about $24, for a big bottle.
