Hi, making this brief but wanted some advice. Just received 9 ducklings , 2 goslings this morning when post office opened at 9am. One fatality, order was for 10 ducklings. One duckling is lethargic and reserved, the others plus the geese are running around and seem energized. I dipped all their bills in their niacin + electrolyte + probiotic water and have a separate dish filled with water and two drops of nutri-drench. One 250 watt red brooder bulb in a ceramic brooder light fixture, plus an infared 100 w heat bulb going along with a small heater. Brooder temp is rising, didn't have it on a good hour before they were ready, my fault 😥 I put three hot hand packs under a shirt for additional warmth, I'm just very concerned about the sleepy duckling.no one is clustered under the heating bulbs, sorta scattered and playing lethargic duck is beginning to move around a bit more. Please if there is anything else I could do, I would appreciate advice. I called the hatchery about the fatality, really upsetting. And they didn't send an additional one, so I don't know what happens. Forgot to mention, no one is panting or seems overheated.

Thank you! Will do, she's still a little sleepier than the other ducklings, so I'm going to try the nutri-drench along her bill! When I dip her bill in she lifts her head back to swallow. Keeping a close eye on her. Thank you for the suggestion 🙂

Hmm...now I checked on her and she was laying by herself, and on closer inspection it looks like her one eye (left) is partially closed, third eyelid exposed. Is there anything I should do to cleanse her eye, vetericyn ophthalmic gel or anything? Or do I just wait? So hard not knowing what is wrong with her. 😭
