lethargic hen with poop stained trail feathers not eating

Hello my Americana (sp?) is 7 or 8 yrs old. last laid an egg a week ago. since friday (2/2) she has been 'out of it' moving about slowly, not interested in eating mealworms or anything. was drinking yesterday. I washed her up yesterday, no signs of mites, vent appears clear. saw this morning she appeared to be straining to poo, but only a little wet dribbled out. looked like you backside turned inside out for a second, very bright red, then back to normal.
