Lethargic hen

I have never wormed here specifically but my uncle (undergrad in poultry science and a vet in alberta) checked them all when he was visiting recently and said none of them had worms. I have wormer. Is wormer is ok if she doesn't have worms? weather has been hot but they have access to shade and water. There is also a hose trickling into their pen all day. None of the other girls seem to have a problem at all with the heat.
What wormer do you have? Curiously, how did you uncle check them for worms?

She has never been wormed specifically, but we are going into town today to get some. I'll post what kind it is. He felt around their bodies, checked the areas of the coop and run where he thought it was most likely to have worms, then he went through as many droppings as he could find.

You mentioned earlier that you thought you had a tube of Horse Wormer, What kind was it..

If you have to buy some don't buy the Wazine.

Look for Valbezan Goat Wormer, Safeguard Goat Wormer, or Zimectrin Gold Horse Wormer.

Worms cannot be felt and just because none were seen in the poop doesn't mean they aren't there. Since you're in Canada, getting wormer for chickens is tricky from what I understand. You best bet would be to find some fenbendazole 10% horse wormer (Safeguard or Panacur, liquid or paste). Whether it's for birds, horses, cows or goats, it's all the same, fenbendazole 10%.

I gave it to them. Luna (the chicken we're talking about) is drinking a lot. It is flavoured so maybe once the others catch on, they'll drink more. Not sure what it's flavoured like but it smells like fruitpunch.
