Lethargic Rooster

Got some frozen coconut oil he ate a couple chunks and seemed to have lost interest so I hope it was enough...gave him a little crop massage afterwards.

It's hard to say if he's getting better or not...he's a little more active and he's a little more vocal now.

He's still a bit lethargic and he's kinda wobbly on his feet, I wonder if he hurt his legs some how or something?

I hope he can pull through, I might see if the vet I bring my dogs to can take a look at him for me or try to find an avian get near me..

Also heres a picture of his most recent poop.

Sorry he’s not feeling well still. Crop issues can make them feel awful. I’m not sure about his poop. Hopefully someone can chime in. Definitely do as @Wyorp Rock said and call your vet to ask if they’ll do a fecal float if you bring his droppings in. Some vets have no problems doing one without seeing the chicken. My vets won’t without seeing the animal. If you have colleges nearby with veterinary science or other animal science type programs they might be willing to do it for free, even.

Keep at it with the massages.

Thank you everyone for your help! It seems Clucky is on the mend!

Today he crowed a couple times, it was the first time I've heard him crow in the last few days. He also has some of his feistiness back lol for a reason probably caused by the way my wife treated him growing up (not in a neglectful way I should add lol it was more playful than anything) but now....he doesn't seem to fond of my wife. I'm not sure what it's called but it's like as if he charges at her (my wife likes to say he's dancing lol)...

He kinda lowers his wing a bit and stomps his feet at her which usually causes my wife to run away lol.

In other news the baby bunny seems to be doing good as well.. this morning when I went to feed it I noticed his eyes are open. This made feeding it so much easier as he could see the nursing nipple from the bottle so much easier.

Pic of the bunny.. we plan to release him in the woods near our neighborhood after he transitions to solid food, I might set up a fenced area in the back yard near trees and some grass so it can learn to forage for food prior to setting it totally free... without a huge fear of my dogs getting him again, atleast by that time it's able to see and run away from predators.

What a darling! Wonderful job raising it. Glad to hear the happy update on both :)
Clucky does sound like he’s dancing for your wife lol he may like her after all. Did his crop end up going down finally? I hope he is on the mend. Thanks for the update!

It seemed to have gone down considerably this morning...it wasn't quite so visible and felt quite small and hard unlike the last few days it was so big and squishy
