Lethargic Silkies

Someone mentioned lice being deadly, after looking it up I'm scared that's what I originally saw. Seemed to look like the full-grown ones, although I don't see them anywhere now. I am going to get recommended spray for the coop. I've got to move the two healthy hens out of the coop. And will probably spend all night bathing them one by one all while praying no-one else gets them including myself

I've had a lice infestation for awhile with my birds, & lost zero due to the external parasites. Mites are what can be deadly if left unchecked, & mites I've never had with my birds.

I've gotten control of the lice now, with Permethrin Spray.

You can't get lice from chickens.

The spray can go ON THE BIRDS too.
Do NOT bath sick birds...doing so could kill them.

I will definitely do that. First I need to set up a makeshift coop for the other two on the patio. If it is lice, will bathing them get rid of them and what do I need to do to protect us. Since I've had to bring two of them in the house because of their declining health
I am so sorry for not seeing this post yesterday. Please do not bathe them.
