Just be sure to keep your chimney clean. (No build up, or you are in trouble)

Secret to no flue fires is building a good hot fire every week or two. This keeps creosote from building up terribly bad.
I sweep each fall. Never have had more than 1/4” buildup on the top half of the chimney.
