Say Acre.............I was cutting strips the other day and one of my yards of fab is 42.5 inches long, should I have NOT cut the selvage off??? Some of the fabric I bought isn't exactly 44" even though is says so on the bolt.

I have no problem getting new fabric - so let me know: can it be a little short of 44" or not?? I don't want to cut strips til you let me know! Thanks
