Let's keep with the spirit (UPDATE post 11)

I wanna nominate some one. Older couple. living on social security. He is very much an outdoors person but his health has been getting less and less to where getting really out and around is a hassle. They both love chickens and I got them 5 last year. They took such great care of these guys and seriously they were the largest chickens I had ever seen!
Something broke in and whiped out the whole flock in 1 night./ We think it was a fox. My husband went over and fixed up their pen and run but with m,y hubbies job keeping his hours low I cant afford to buy them more chickies. They were lookign forward to the eggs they would be getting and I would go there some days and they would both be sitting out by the run for hours just watching them. I have an incubator that will be empty in about a week and would be happy toincubate for them. They are both in there 70's
Bon

If anyone is interested...

I would like to nominate my neighbor to receive some eggs. The other day a stray dog busted into her chicken pen, and killed all but one of her 6 week old chicks. I helped her rebuild the pen, and gave her one of my cockrels (it's all I could spare) to keep her little buff orp company. It would mean a great deal to her if someone could help her out with any eggs mixed breeds included.

Thanks so much,
Dave

ETA: I am getting some test eggs soon, and plan on passing some of these on to her if I have a good hatch, but my numbers are extremely limited.

Old Chicken man.......Jacob and I are thrilled that you are sharing eggs with us. I pm'd you the mailing info. He has never seen sikies or seabrigths so this has him really excited..............Thank you so much and God Bless.

Ok so i would like to nominate one of my FFA friends from my chapter.
HE has always been here to help me with my chickens. If i needed to know what was wrong and i couldnt figure it out he would help. He even hatched me my first and only batch of eggs. He also sold me my first chickens, which are doing great. ALl this was done anytime of the day.

Well recently about two months ago he got really sick. He had a blood infection and his liver was slighty failing. But even though he was sick like this, he kept helping me and taking care of his chickens. He wasnt relying on anyone but himself for the care of his animals.

I know he would love to hatch more chicks and would take care of them as much if not even more than the ones he has now......

Edited to add:
I think he would love some silkies (if any are available) but im sure hes not picky.
