Let's plan a Quail egg hatch... set 'em Sept. 1, hatch 'em Sept 17-19+

good question, good question... ?

You'll want to let them warm to room temp so they don't develop condensation when you put them in the incubator.

yeah.. that's why i pulled the ones I had "on ice" today and put them in the bator with it turned off... I figured that would give them 24 hours or so to warm up and dry off before I turn it on tomorrow

I have most eggs ready to be set, lots of cbbq! Some AH and coturnix

I am in with ya'll! Set 12 by the moon and now I will set 12 tomorrow. This is fun. A bonding experience with my peeps. Cool.

Thanks Model-A for bringing us all together. Thanks Fat Daddy, JJ and Alex for selling me or in Daddy's case gifting some of the best stock to do this with. It is a joy to work with your birds guys. Thanks for making my hobby enjoyable through quality, health and vigor. Cheers.

awesome everyone! ... got my incubator cleaned, plugged in and humming along.

will take out the ice bottles from the cooler this evening and set these lil gals first thing in the AM.

will sleep in my lab coat so I remember to weigh the first eggs collected to see if they lost any noticeable mass in cold storage.
