Welp these little guys are 2 weeks old now. I know thats not old enough to tell yet. But I would like to play a little game to see who can get the closest. We will find out as the weeks pass who got right guesses.
This is just for fun. No prizes XD sorry! Unless you count the "bragging rights" as a prize.

I ordered 10 sultans and 10 SL Polish chicks from Cackle hatchery and they hatched and was shipped to me on the 6th (arrived on the 9th).
Unfortuantly due to the USPS's shipping methods causing my little babies to be a day late, I lost a lot of them. Here are the remaining sweeties.

XD I wouldn't be surprised honestly. I bought 8 silkies from Alan (Ive lost 2 unfortuantly) but out of those 8 all but 1 was hens (one of those that I lost was the rooster). Then out of my buff silkies I got from Mike Lee, 3 of the ones I can guess genders on seem to be hens (getting the perfect ball shape head feathers). The other 4 are too young to tell so far. Worst of all I bought what was suppose to be a rooster cochin and I swear to god it is a hen. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have a single rooster in my flock.

doing great. Im going to get some more photos on Saterday. Thats when I got the little pooter. And so I try to take photos atlease once a week. Not much change has happened since my last photos taken of it. So I havent wasted my time chasing it down in the brooder room and snapping some more shots. (Ive noticed they grow better when you dont stress them out.)

I think so. of your silkies? I saw what you was talking about with the spots. But you cant see any skin showing unfeathered on my silkie's face. Likely cause mine is bearded better then your's. I have heard of the cuckoo silkies all having redish faces. Weither this chick I have is a cuckoo, mottled, silver, or something completely different from all those, one thing is sure is that there is no red skin on it and no skin spots from what I an tell in the legs (only visible skin area on the bird). Im excited to see how it matures and what it feathers out to look like after its molt in a few months.
