I have heard of the cuckoo silkies all having redish faces. Weither this chick I have is a cuckoo, mottled, silver, or something completely different from all those, one thing is sure is that there is no red skin on it and no skin spots from what I an tell in the legs (only visible skin area on the bird). Im excited to see how it matures and what it feathers out to look like after its molt in a few months.

they have darker faces when younger.. but gradually lightens as they get older.

Mine are easier to tell cause they are NOT bearded silkies...

if it's a cuckoo I hope it will retain the dark skin colouration as this is not easy to get.
