Full time house chick, rules 2 dogs and her human parents.

ZIGGY is a Barred Rock Rooster. He will be 3 years old in the Fall 2011. Ziggy was born with a crooked beak and only 1 eye. Despite his special needs, or maybe because of them, he is a special roo. He has done Pet Therapy at the public schools in the special education classrooms and has also been to the nursing home. He seems to prefer the kids, but is equally docile with all. He doesn't need any special care other than an occasional beak-filing, eating from a deep dogfood dish so that he can scoop and being hand-fed certain treats like raisins and grapes. Ziggy is a mama's boy and will park himself near me and my chair if I am sitting at the barn and likes to be held. He is quite large so he sometimes just sprawls across my lap or lays his head on my shoulder. He comes when called and has a mighty crow.
