lets see the "ugly" coops plz

This one is on the NH Craigslist right now for free..

If I lived on a farm with a lot of land I wouldn't hesitate to use a camper, but in my more suburban area, it would look a little too 'trashy'

Wow, you all have pretty good looking coops in comparison to mine... Mine really IS ugly.

It's a 8x8 plastic shed that we originally bought from Costco for outdoor storage... Then we got a bunch of chicks, so my dad built a huge 8x8 barn style shed, decided it was "too good" for the chickens, and thus the chickies stayed in the plastic coop. The huge run you see is their second run... their first one was panic temporary before we went on vacation (still were very young birds then). If you can see a roost like structure inside the run, that is actually part of the frame of the original run!

Right now there is a shredding tarp on top of the run (the 2nd run's 2nd roof). Previously it was some painters floor covering plastic. We are now looking into getting some corrugated roofing after finding that the really good, weatherproof tarp was in fact NOT weatherproof. (you touch it, it breaks! *gasp* ).

Anyway, here it is. (weird curvy peice of metal is the trampoline)

Plexi glass worked great for me, I made a whole A frame out of ice arena plexi. Here in Maine gets really cold. All the neighbors loved watching them in their coop. When the light was on in the night it did look a bit like a space ship in the backyard!

Hey Chill! I LOVE your version of the ugly coop! very original, and quite campy!

I'm wanting to expand mine, and likely have the materials already on site. Now to just figure out how to get it together. There are several wooden pallets mostly a bit dilapidated, various rescued hunks of wood to repurpose (I think one long assembly was a part of a waterbed), and most of the roll of chicken wire I'd purchased to complete the current version of the coop.

this is our coop my girlfriend had it from when she had chickens a long time ago well we decided to get some chicks and we pulled this pile out of the kudzu, vines, and a few trees growing through it its been in use now for a little over a week yeah its ugly and i had to do some work to get it up to par new nesting boxes and roost bars, and some new wire on2 sides where the trees grew through them and the wire was just no good i will be adding a run to it as soon as the rain stops so that i can get busy smashing my thumb with the hammer again lol
