Shhhhhhhh, don't tell my DIL yellow

was not meant for nursery walls or kids rooms. My 4 year old grandson and the new granddaughter are the calmest kids I know and sleep very well. Both have yellow rooms!!

yellow never bothered my babes either. All three had the yellow nursery room. Once the last one was toddling around I was ready for a change and went to white. that room is now my daughters room and she will have her walls painted kind of half way up in a white and pink stripe up to a chair rail. then white above that. The boys haven't figured out what they want yet. I prefer neutrals.

My bathroom is violet, with accessories/towels in s violet and sage scheme. The vanity is a piece of furniture we got at a flea market and retrofitted it then preserved the wood with marine-type polyeurethane to hold up to water. We had to cut down the drawers so we could hook up the plumbing. I wanted a more grayed-down lavendar color and this was really too violet, but I'm not going to paint for a good while, so violet it stays!

Cyn, I love your bathroom! It may be 'too' violet, but it looks like the accessories and your towels match perfect.

SH, I like the violet color & I really like that vanity.

It came out so nice.

Our craziest color is light yellow in the kitchen. I like it to be bright and cheery on dark winter morning.

LOL When I was growin up, my Ma was paintin walls all the time... They never turned out how she wanted it to. We had one room that was mustard yellow, one room that was Pepto-Bismal pink (complete with light pink carpet,) one room that was purple, and another that was green. She wanted "earth tone" colors, they always ended up bein as far away from that as you can get LOL! Poor Ma!
