This is my egg basket. Cheap at the dollar store. I never wash my eggs. I do refrigerate the ones older than a week. I explain to my egg customers that washed eggs are illegal in Europe because washing the bloom off causes them to get salmonella and lots of other microbial diseases. Only the US allows washed eggs, and Europe made US eggs illegal to sell in Europe. Mineral oil does not protect them from microbes, only the egg bloom will.
