Here's my silkie, Violet. She's about 14 weeks old in this pic. I think she's a she......

I am keeping a close eye on her "poof", but she still has a lot of feathers coming in. Her tail looks a bit "rooish" to me, from the other pic's I've seen.

This is her best friend, Daisy, a D'uccle, they are the same age, and inseperable...

JUst BEautiful birds you guys have. I have to ask.HOw to you get the splash. Is it mix of both colors. But what colors. That is a beautiful color. And all those babies in the tote.YOU have all different colors in there.It would be nice to see them when they get all their feathers in .

I had the same question about getting a splash, We would really like a splash but the whole genetic explanation gave me a headache, it there an easy way to know what color of birds you will get?

I just read on another thread. That blue and black you will get 25% each of blue and black and splash.Something like that. If you go splash to splash you will get 100% splash. But after generations you start losing there colors so they will look more white. again something like that.
