I greatly enjoyed the movie adaptations of Guardians of Ga'Hoole, and the Hunger Games. In the case of the Hunger Games I actually ended up preferring the movie, but with Ga'Hoole I still like the books better. And I think I like BBC Sherlock better than the original books, although I must admit I haven't read the books in years.

I love James herriot's books, thought they were spectacular!
If you like animals this is a good book for you.
