Lets talk about goats!

What all does a person need to get started with goats? Assessories? requirements for space?
It's really hard to answer that question without knowing the breed you'd be starting with. Pretty much the general answer would be a good solid fence, a shed or shelter depending on weather in your location, feed and water buckets, and a hay rack. They also like to sleep up high if given the option, so a table or something like that would be a fantastic accessory for goats.
Space and other requirements vary by breed, so if you're looking into goats, start by narrowing down what you want from a goat (milk, meat, companionship, etc.) and what size would suit your property, handling ability, etc. and work from there.

Nothing is impossible! Kudos for planning ahead too. Hey, I have a question- if I am going to sow seed for goat pasture what type of grasses, etc would ya'll suggest? Currently my girl is getting plenty of browse, 1/2 cup feed in a.m. and again in p.m to set timing when we milk and hay. I'm thinking of seeding a pasture area for goats in the future. Alfalfa and clover or something else too?

Question...I now have 5 Nigerian dwarfs...3 of them are sweet, tiny guys. 2 are larger and more aggressive. They ar e supposedly all the same age. The 2 larger ones are bully's. they even go into the chicken coop during the day and eat the feed!
I also cannot get the 2 larger ones therefore cannot clip nail, deworming, etc...

Any ideas?

Also, how would I keep their water from freezing when I don't have electricity?
