Lets talk about goats!

I have a story. I went out to see if any of my goats were kidding but as I walked into to stall and there was a lil baby goat (like the size of a baseball)
So I was like there is something wrong so I started looking for a goat that looked like she had just kidded. I finally found her she is under a yr old and kinda small.
Her bags were big and all. Has any one had this happen to them?

I once had a doeling kid at eight or nine months. Was a surprise to me. I fed her well and she continued to grow. Both her and the baby eventually became very large does. Just make sure your little mama has plenty to eat and she will be fine. The small kid, if otherwise healthy, will grow and be fine too.

Had an accidental breeding here once, but the doe was much older. Did you have a buck breakout five months ago?

I do know a local goat keeper who had a Nigerian get bred by a boer. She keeps Nigerians and Boers (and the respective bucks for each). Nigerian started gaining weight, and gave birth with no troubles to kids with the oddest airplane ears. But never did she find any goat out of place, so it can only be assumed whoever got out also put themselves back. Probably the ND doe, or else all does would have given birth to boer crosses! She was just lucky the doe had no difficulties giving birth!

Updated kids pictures of my three ND kidlets.

Sleep Percy

Even more sleepy Athena using her sister as a facerest.

And a very chill Xena.

Athena after her sister got up, no more pillow!

I took this image of their dam's udder this morning. She wouldn't stand still for me, so I had to tie a leg off to the side. But it does look fantastic, and was very milkable!

Cute kids! That udder is huge! But such tiny teats. I prefer my Nubian gals.

Speaking of which, our doe had twins today! One doe one buck. So happy! Pictures will come in a jiffy.
