Lets talk about goats!

lol thats what i was thinking! although people were i live talk about goat stew to often for my own comfort...
Oh...people eat goats where I live, too. But I won't be one of them

Mine are for milk, vegetation control and entertainment. They are just too personable for stew.
 
are you planning to eat them?
i have nigerian dwarves and they are the sweetest things almost like a dog!
Yes. It's quite delicious actually. It's a very lean meat, similar to venison.

There is no way I could eat my goats.

So I take it nobody eats goats round here?
 
One of my does has been acting like she is in heat today. Wagging her tail and wanting to play with me (more than usual). Is she in heat? Are there any other signs?

well my goats are for pets and to keep the vegetation down around the property so there wont be any goat anything in my house! i just cant imagine eating my hooved children!! lol

sounds like heat, there is usually a lot of goat screaming as well.
 
How much is the initial start up for one doe and fencing?
That would depend on where you get your goat, how big an area you are fencing, and what fencing you use.

If there is a Tractor Supply in your area, go there and look at all the choices in fencing.

And if you look on Craigslist you will most likely see goats for sale.
