Lets talk about goats!

Sad. Your little goat will need a friend. I have tried going BioSecure before But it does not always work out. I plan to take ours to Chicken & animal swaps to sell bc I also have costly chickens and want to go completely biosecure. That means I will get less per goat at a small animal swap but it also means I will be Biosecure. Hoping your next goat does not have problems.

Hey y'all! I have a baby goat (about 4 weeks) with a lump in his neck. It's about quarter sized, and hard. Is the Milk neck? Bottle neck? CL?
How would he have gotten it? He is one of quadruplets and has seemed to not be getting enough milk...He is not being bottle fed.

Thanks!

I bet that costed you a pretty penny.
We haven't yet... But on Friday we will

It'll probably cost a lot, yes.

If it is not by the Lymph nodes it is NOT CL! If it is not milk neck or milk goiter. You will want to make sure you send it in for a biopsy and they will tell you exastly what it is. It is best send they actual lump in and not a blood test. Hope your goats vet visit goes good!

Make sure if the vet test for you, you get a copy of the results. Vets can sometimes tell you the wrong thing and then you slaughter the one(s) that have and then later you find out they didn't have it at all. Happened to some friends of ours, very sad. I am not saying don't trust your vet but mistakes to happen I really would hate to see someone go thru that.
Hope you have a good day!
