Let's talk about Star Wars!

Pics
I have been a Star Wars fan since the first movie came out. Even got to have lunch with Dave Prowse at a Science Fiction convention in Denver years ago. Before that I was and still am a Star Trek fan.

I was following the news releases on Rogue One with the intention of putting it on my list of Movies I want to see when they are released on either DVD or on Cable movie stations. No, I don't go to movies at theaters.

I am sick and tired of, without pointing fingers, of groups trying to interject their political view into the movies I enjoy seeing. SF is no longer fun escapism entertainment. It has become a opportunistic political venue bashing everything from gun rights to who was elected president. I watch science fiction movies to be entertained, not to be preached to by either side of the political wall.

The first time I read one of these news releases all the desire and anticipation to see Rogue One or even read the novel release if there is one went down the drain. The same thing happened with me when they started to politicize the last Star Trek movie, Beyond, when it was released.

One of the tenants of the Star Trek universe was the tolerance of all people and beliefs. Infinite Diversity thought Infinite combinations seems to be out the window. Beliefs are only tolerated if they are what is being politically interjected in the movie.

Please don't flame me for what I am saying. I am entitled to my opinion. Please just stop and think about what is happening with Hollywood and their Washington connection. Time for them to quit and start doing what they are supposed to do. Entertain us. Period.

Why? I did spoil anything. I just told you it was a great flick. You have to watch Rogue One then episodes 4, 5, 6, and 7
No, you didn't spoil it, just made me even more excited/anxious to go do a marathon with my cousins.
Where does the Force awakens fall in the actual order of things? Is it the actual "latest one"?
