I thought the timeline was before new hope...before luke.. well luke was a baby...since this was about stealing the death star plans before it was built? I could be wrong I guess...

from the trailer it looks like the plans are stolen while it is being built... so wedge would be an adult, and luke would be a teenager at this time

Not sure why.. it's staged in the timeline that he would be around. .

Just a bunch of brand new characters. . No jedi. ..
Why would they make this movie? With so many other spin offs ideas.. there talking about obi-wan movies. .young han solo movies...

But no. Let make a movie about some unknown characters stealing death star plans first. .. kinda crazy..
