I think they are very striking birds!

I read on some English site that two of the breeds that have been crossed into the cuckoo Marans are the Malines and Barred Holland. He looks a little fluffier than a Marans but I like the barring!.

I'm so tired tonight that I'm slap happy, so probably should wait to look at photos in the morning. That way I can be more focused after a night of sleep. I ended up staying up waaaaay too late starting flats of seeds, and about went crosseyed trying to keep track of all the tiny little seeds.
