Let's talk Golden Cuckoo Marans!

I think I have two golden cuckoo marans . I bought what I was told were cream legbars but they did not have crests and I was told that there were both kinds crested and non crested after much surfing I found some pictures and info on golden cuckoo marans which looked just like what I had.is there any other way to tell what I have?

Can you post pictures? Kind of hard to tell what you have without seeing them. Take side views, front, from the top and front, showing the legs too.

here my first pure Golden cuckoo marans 10 weeks old 2 pullets and one cockerel. the golden huckle just start showing up.
well pleased.

Very nice, mine looked close at 10 weeks, just more pronounced combs

Mine looked plain cuckoo for a while, then got golden highlights, then turned golden over a few weeks.

yeah mine as well they looked plain cuckoo tell now 10 weeks they start showing the golden hues.

I'm also suprised how soon my golden cuckoo x easter egger crosses are showing gold. This one is about 6 weeks old:

I've got a few pullets golden cuckoo olive eggers that are golding up too:

Well, it looks like my cockerel carries yellow skin.
So I'm now in the market for an adult/juvie male, or possibly hatching eggs. Anyone in NC or the Southeast have a spare male for sale??

Also, I *really* don't like bad-mouthing folks, but I do want to warn everyone that of the GCMs I got from a farm in VA two had yellow skin and at least one carries yellow. When I told the breeder, she didn't seem concerned by it. If anyone is looking at VA breeders, feel free to pm me for the name.

I know she's a mix, and I keep posting pics of mixed, but I'm really enjoying the genes of my Golden Cuckoo rooster.
