This is one of the cockerels from @morbius18. He is big and beautiful! This pullet never developed gold in her cape, so does that mean she is plain cuckoo?

the pullet is a nice long type .she is going to be a big hen wen matured .

she is not a solid cuckoo ,she is still a golden cuckoo with less hackle marking you have to wait and see .

the cockerel is a handsome .well marked .
nice body type
great face with great comb and gorgeous eyes .

I like them both .future breeder for sure.

Here is turning out really nice. How is the other cockeral looking?

He is not quite as large (and in charge), but just as beautiful. I will work on getting a picture tomorrow. These are the most gorgeous GCM's I have had or even seen. My husband says they are the prettiest chickens we have and there is a bunch of competition for that title.

Im hoping someone here could help. I purchased this chick at least 1wk old formy broody hen. I was told she is an EE but i was tryingto figure out if that is true or if she is a legbar or GCM. Her color is throwing me off because i have never seen acuckoo maranwith white instead of cream. The chest is solid white and has the gray/blue legs. It seems it moght have a crest coming through...

She appears to be an easter egger or olive egger. The green legs show she's not a pure marans. A pic of the comb will tell for sure if it is a pea or straight.

EE's don't have set color patterns. It all depends on what their parents/ancestors bequeathed them. They can have slate, blue or green legs, may have beards, muffs or be 'clean shaven', most have pea combs but they can also have strawberry ones (one of mine does) A few don't even lay blue or green eggs.. Basically the APA states that an Easter Egger is any chicken that has the blue egg gene but does not meet the requirements of any recognized breed.

Took a few pics of the youngest batch this year.

I have one of the double barred versions that had a brown face as a chick. Same as the lighter ones I posted above, just double barred from my F0 rooster over his f1 daughter.

Have 2 brown chicks, one partridge looking pullet and one brown barred cockeral.

All of them in one shot:

You can see all 5 cockeral variations in this picture, single barred, brown single barred, double barred, light double barred, and blue single barred.

I'm also having weird sex ratios. The last 3 hatches have had 75-90% cockerals. This youngest group has 3 pullets, 13 cockerals
