Let's talk Golden Cuckoo Marans!

Pics
My BCM did not have a tail for over two months. He was the best looking BCM I ever owned unfortunately when he finally did get a tail it was wry.

Hi Morbius18

I don t think you need any other Blue.
you have one of the best blue copper hen and her Barred son .don t add any thing to then befor a few years to come . true inbred BLGC from one hen . that what I think.

after 3rd year you can out cross them to other line to restore a hybrid vigor.

I m in love with your blue copper hen .she s special .

Bev Davis line are a good genetic stock . I like her work , great Breeder.

you don t need the partridge a long way and a lot culling. you don t need that ,especially with a success you are having with a GCB and your new BLGC marans project .

I agree with RedBank some they are very late .up to 4 month for me 2 cockerel .

This year there was 6 tailless chooks appeared in the French marans . Club Forum No explanation for t . how ended up in the marans stock .especially with the association breeders . problem not known .

A few pics of the suspected golden gold cuckoo marans brown chick. I'm seeing some blue on it now. It's comb is showing a little red, so it is a cockerel.

A few updated pics of the Blue Golden Cuckoo cockeral. He's getting a little barring.

I'm in the middle of getting ready to move the flock. I've killed 4 excess roosters and have preparing a temporary run at my brother's house. We close on our old house morning and get the new one in the afternoon. Very hectic.
