let's talk movies

I'm waaaaaaaaaaay too cheap to watch a movie in the theater more than once.

Once I've gotten them on DVD, I'll watch them over and over...
Avatar
New Moon
Twister
Oceans 11
Star Wars
Signs
Lady in the Water
The Village
Sweet Home Alabama
You've Got Mail
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
27 Dresses
Matrix

i enjoyed the books as well. i have never ever willingly read any book but i read the twilight saga and i like it because i love the love between edward and bella. i hope someday i will get a man as sweet and old school as he is. edward cullen should be a role model for guys haha

I saw the original Pirates of the Caribbean six or seven times in theatres because I just loved it, loved it! I often go to see movies twice in theatres, but rarely a third time. Usually I use gift certificates I get as gifts! I'm trying to go see Inception a second time this friday. Definitely a movie that needs to be watched twice! (And Leonardo! *drool*) Shutter Island was also amazingly and unexpectedly good.

Very rarely have been to see a movie numerous times in the theater. Dont have the time or money to do so.
I am a movie fan and will watch any good movie and some mediocre ones haha. I can say I have never read or seen any of the twilight movies. My wife has and loves them. She did get me to read all of the Harry Potters, which I did very much enjoy, and the movies are enjoyable to watch also.
I can list a hundred movies which I think are great. I like movies for the stories they tell not necessarily for who is in them. Only Johnny Depp movie I like is The Ninth Gate, excellent story based on an excellent book.
Here is a brief list of some of my favorites.
Out of Africa
The Right Stuff
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
LA Confidential
Chariots of Fire
Excalibur
Rear Window
Alien
The Green Berets
Bridge on the River Kwai
Silence of the Lambs
The Exorcist
Old war movies like The Guns of Navaronne or the Big Red 1 or Strategic Air Command
Most James Bond movies but Goldfinger and Thunderball stand out as the best to me.
Some of the Star Trek movies, not all
All of the Lord of the Rings
All of the Star Wars
Cannot understand anyone who doesnt like these movies(Star Wars, LOTR). The have such a great story to tell on so many levels to help understand the human condition. Of course I dont understand someone who hasnt read a book because they wanted to in their life either. But to each their own. I am a nerd, always have been. I love to read and I thank my parents for that. Currently reading 4 or 5 at the moment.
Just so you dont think I am so uptight to like only serious movies I do love a good comedy and have too many favorites to name.
I like movies and will watch them again when I like them more than the average one.
