Letting chicks outside

Is it ok to let my 3 week old chicks play in the grass for a little bit? Supervised of course.

I have always done it with mine, weather permitting of course.

My hen took her chicks outside at a week old so perhaps they know best? My babies that I am raising I let out when fully feathered. Mostly depends on the temperatures I think.
