Letting new mothers interact with others

Hi,
I had a quick search through the forums but couldn't find what I was looking for.

I have 2 Muscovy ducks sitting on eggs due to hatch soon. I have penned them up separately at the moment but when the ducklings hatch can I let them all intermingle or should I keep both ducks and their ducklings separate.

I think it might be a risk to the babies......i would separate them just in case....
