So at night i want to let my Ladies walk around my yard. My yard is not fenced in, but from what i read they will not go to far from the coop. Only concern i have is there is an Orange cat that roams the streets. I have seen this thing kill rabbits. I have seen it sit out side my coop, which i scared it away with my paintball gun. I know my chickens are bigger than the cat but should i be worried? Thanks

Get a dog or live trap. Relocate the cat to the animal shelter.

Your chicken wont be walking anywhere at night, they'll be sleeping ;)

I have 2 cats that regularly leave rabbits and squirrels on my front porch (ew), but they know better to mess with the chickens. And I have bantam Silkies. The cats learned that their shiny eyes and chicken beaks arent a good mix, and that those fuzzy things are scary when they all start clucking at the same time :)
