Leukosis aka big liver disease

I had a strain of fowl called blueface hatch .I obtained from a old timer.They were strong beautiful fowl for a bit but I notice a few would get really pale headed and swell and soon die.As time went on it got worse.Carried one to the agricultural dept of the state .They cyrgentialky froze the fowl.Disected and when opened the liver was swollen and looked like a cooked appearance.Sad news had to cull them also

Sorry for your loss. Did you tell the person you got the birds from about the disease they found in your flock?
Where about are you located? In the US or no?

Yes I am old red neck I am .The man was dying from Cancer and gifted me the fowl.I sure met some really nice people and to your suprize.Judges lawyers and so forth .The years have a way to change times etc.However there's no teacher better than exsperience.Ill say that much.

My experience marek's and Leukosis are hereditary and never leave.Yes the vaccine available for marek's but maybe someone a tad smarter or luckier than I am.I tried to rid it and failed.Cheers
