so the lewiston Poultry/farmers swap is comming up this weekend 6/8/2013 from 9-2. Looking out its looking like good weather. This will hopefully be the first swap we have had this year here with good weather. With good weather always brings lots of vendors and as this store is always busy there should be a good turn out for buyers. Now remmber this swap is not just for poultry but we see many other farm animals including bunnies, chickens, pigs, goats, sheep,dogs, and many others. If anyone knows of people with pigs and what not share this as there welcome to come set up. Also anything homemade, (soaps, honey, fur,) things built or made by maine farmers or at your homestead. We are also comming into the season where farmers market is always welcome to come and set up as well. This store we will be set up in the parking lot next to there trailers. Please do not block the flow of custormer traffic. SO all please pass this along and lets grow this one bigger and bigger. If anyone knows of any local groups that want to set up a bake sale or a BBQ type sale they are more then welcome. AS i am running this swap now you can hit me up or post here with any questions.

So ya all we are coming up on another month as we close out June. Time to start getting ready and preparing for the next swap here at the lewistion TSC on 7/13/13. If you have farmers or friends with animals that arnt online let them know about this as all types of small farm animals, (chickens,turkeys,ducks,geese,goats,sheep,pigs,dogs,rabbits,etc) are welcome at the swap. We also welcome others that have farm products like cages, plants, seeds, gardneing tools and other farm made products. We also welcome all fruit and vegie vendors since it is about that time of the year. come sell your items or come find something you may be looking for you never know what you might find

I'm planning on coming out tomorrow for this. Is anyone else going to be there? I have 2 roosters slated for the stew pot this weekend, but if someone is interested in them for their flock, I would be happy to bring them to you tomorrkw. One is a marans roo. Very handsome and great temperment. The other is the sweetest boy-a cochin breda cross. Splash coloring and just as sweet as can be. Unfortunately I ave way too many roos and the hens are paying the price.
