Hi guys I have to get rid of my beautiful SL polish roo...
He has been in a coop with 8 girls for 6 months now. I put him in there as the only roo because he would get beat up:-( He has been going through a moult in the last month and lost all his tail feathers--When I came home one day over a month ago All I could see was blood all over his back end. I ran in and grabbed him only to realize the hens had ripped out all his feathers and ate them or whatever? With all his new feathers coming in-they saw blood they kept at him. So I isolated him in the first aid pen for a month--tail feathers got to be about 1 1/2 inches long-totally healed and awesome so I retunred him -under my watchful eyes-to "his" coop with the girls. All seemed fine for 24 hours. Next day (yesterday) I came home from work yesterday and full of blood all over again--Those 8 girls yanked and pulled all his new feathers out again!!! Now my poor boy is all by himself again! I can't watch this continue to happen all over again-I would like to sell him to someone who can take the time to help him grow his feathers out-and give him some new girlfriends that dont know the secret of blood yet!!! He's very sweet-never bites or flogs-being a polish he's very skittish at time though-more funny than anything. His skin has not been penetrated like an open wound-just plucked out blood feathers!
Can someone help me make him happy?
