Do you guys think it is safe enough to use just for LOCKDOWN? I have a Hovabator 1588 for my regular incubation, but I have a staggered hatch this time and was thinking it might be worth it to get a second incubator to just use for lockdowns...

Nevermind, it's too late... they started pipping early (tonight), I partitioned off the incubator best I could and have my fingers crossed...

I do use two bators. 1 for incubating and 1 for hatching. This way I get them set up for the humidity and temps that I want.

I just started doing this as well. I have 3 for incubating and one for hatching.It does seem to work better so you can keep the temps/humidity right for the hatches while still incubating more eggs!!
