Day 17 here, temps and humidity constant in both, 100.4 and less than 40% humidity.

tomorrow evening, I will take out the turners, bump the humidity and "lockdown".

good luck team!

Day 18.

candled last night to find many clears that I was hoping would make magic, but leaving them in there did- nada.
just 1-2 quitters. Gotta blame the PO, can't be everyone's (5 sellers) fertility.
ends up being 12 in the genesis going into lockdown and 16 in the LG forced air.
most of the remaining eggs are our (controls) favorite barnyard birds (splash ameraucana x blue/barred rocks) we have been hatching out in the LG so far this spring.
and several marans, 2 RIR, 5 barred rock bantams still going from the shipped eggs, come on chickies, bring it home!

coming up on the start of day 20 at 10pm here. we set the eggs on Fri the 13th at 10pm.

we have 7 of 28 hatched so far, 4 in the LG and 3 in the Genesis, more zipping and pipping going on too., it is our backyard birds doing all the work right now.

our hatch is complete.

I gotta say, it was almost even...but I think the fan and the taped sides with the LG helped bring it almost up to snuff with the genesis.

I did have to tickle the knob a little after taking out the turner on the LG, it always seems to drop ~1.5 degrees after I take out the turner, thinking the motor adds heat?

I really appreciate the design and self adjusting of the hovabator.

I think from now on, we will incubate in the Genesis and hatch in the LG
