I will. I know for a fact the temp reading on this incubator is always one degree off, so it's logical to assume something similar goes on with the humidity
Yes, if one is off, chances are the other is too. These gauges go faulty very easily. Temp variances can be dangerous, too high and it can kill the embryos or at least cause defects like curled toes and such. Too low and chicks die from cold or don't fully develop. But don't let this stuff scare you, having a gauge inside the machine can solve all this. :)

If you can I would get a gauge that records the temperature and humidity. I had a incubator (very cheap on so I wouldn’t worry too much) that was fine when ever I looked at it but turns out the temperature was going up when I wasn’t checking it!

I will next time. The humidity is worrying me. The incubator manual itself recognizes the faulty temperature reading, and they have adjusted it accordingly (the reading should be 38.5-39, which means that the actual temperature inside is 37.5). All in all I have no complaints, tye reviews are stellar, it came recommended by a lot of people, and so far it's worked for me. In 15 minutes I'll go check again, and if the humidity reading is still 80 something % I will try to soak up some of the water from the smaller channel

Thats what worries me, if the machine tells you its 80 something percent humidity and no moisture is dripping from the lid, it may be lower than you think. You might just leave it as it is? I am really not sure what you should do at this point.

Yes, that's a possibility. Still no moisture dripping. Should I just leave it and check again in an hour or so?
