LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

Yesterday when I stopped into Tractor Supply again to use their restroom after an order, they ended up getting me. I bought 2 ducklings.
However, there was a lady there harassing both the employees and customers.
She already had 2 female ducklings from Wilco and was wanting to just buy 1 duckling but TS has a rule that they can only do a minimum of 2 ducklings per customer.
She attempted to get me to buy a 3rd duckling and that she'd give me the money for it. Since she was already being rude to the manager about it, I wanted nothing to do with her and even told her so.
I'll post photos of the ducklings I got later today. I'm already out of the house doing more Uber Eats.
Hell yes to a refusal to capitulate to jerks.

Also, yay for new duckies!

LOCKDOWN for the lavender orps
Should start hatching Monday evening

Very proud of my community and myself. We've been assisting the local non-profit rescue I Paw'd It Forward in attempting to catch a loose GS puppy that has been running around town since yesterday afternoon.
People been making sure the non-profit rescue knows where the puppy is spotted and then coming out to help.
We almost caught the puppy before it took off into a field with tall grass and hid right as rain began to pour down on us.

Early May, the fist pipper is now biting at her shell I’m guessing to start the zip
I’ve hatched twice before but both those hatches mostly happened overnight so I was not watching it happen
Sounds like it's zipping out of the shell! :woot

Congrats!!! Question: what was it like? I'm planning on being an avian vet as an adult.
so veterinary assistant is a wiggly position. It doesn't actually require certification as a job, although the certification does exist, in the form of a really long exam. Vet assistants can clean/sanitize/disinfect, help restrain animals, prep autoclave packages and the like, and place one particular kind of catheter that I forgot the name of. It's mostly on-the-job training. I'll likely go for vet tech after college, it's an associate's degree and licensing test. There's also veterinary technologist and veterinary technology specialist, as well as the well-known doctor of veterinary medicine
