LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

In case anyone was wondering on how my tooth abscess is going. I just saw another dentist today and they got a full X ray of my mouth and we found out that I will need to have 3 teeth extracted.
Both bottom molars and a baby tooth that's been loose for 5+ years.
They gave me a referral to a specialist who can do the extraction as the dentist told me that due to the nerve underneath getting caught up in the infection, he's unable to do it.

I know some of you are probably thinking 'This is why we take care of our teeth and eat healthier' but I've already accepted that I'm at fault for what's happened. I'm prepared for the next steps in taking care of this issue.

I'm sure nobody is thinking that :hugs
We all make mistakes and neglect our own care some time or another.
Maybe too much to share but when I was depressed I didn't brush my teeth often, and now I've got tons of work needing to be done on them. I'm petrified of going to the dentist but I've set myself the goal of going by the end of the year. It's something I used to feel like I'd be judged for, and I'm sure some people would judge me, but its not a fair thing to judge anyone for.
Teeth are weird, and the damage done to them and the surrounding gums are typically permanent. Most people end up needing some sort of work done on them, either fillings or extractions. I'll bet I need at least a couple teeth out by this point.
Hope your extractions go smoothly and everything

Funny thing, is I didn't start having teeth issues until after I became an adult
Up until I was 17 or 18, I barely took care of my teeth but somehow never had anything happen. Even though I still saw the dentist, they always said how clean and healthy my teeth were.
Now I'm getting issues lol

I was exactly the same! Just about looked after them as a kid and then the problems started once I became an adult. In fact, I last went to the dentist when I was about 16 I think, and then my anxiety got bad, stopped going, got depressed at 18 and then hibernated for a few years... I was fine up until 17, 18, and then the problems started.

Teeth aren't something we think about until we have issues. I was the same way in my youth and only started really caring for them after I lost a couple. It's never too late to take care of the ones you have left though. I think a lot of people are this way, and of course no one likes to go to the dentist.

This is so true. True about any body part. Is anybody aware of their, say, small intestine? No, not till something goes wrong and it hurts.

I was never concerned about any mobility of any part of my body until I broke my wrist. It took a year to rehab. I do not take any health issue for granted any more.

Oh boy! I was gone for 5-6 weeks and I come back to find this little dude lurking in my fish tank...

Pretty confident it's a bladder snail, and there's dozens of smaller babies too!
There's no fish in here yet, I didn't put snails in- so they must've hitchhiked as eggs on one of the plants... I was thorough in my checking of the plants before putting in, but I guess not enough!

I suppose in a way it's a good thing we are a bit oblivious about our bodies. If we spent our entire lives worrying about our health or our death, we'd be bigger basket cases than we are now. 🤣

There's actually a bone in your ear that if it's miss shappen, can cause you to hear when your eyes move iirc
