That’s slightly embarrassing…

I am the type of person that forgets your name in the 1/2 second it took you to say it and with the way people can change pfp and everything... For me when I can't remember our clients' names or where they live or that I've ever been there before it's not embarrassing, it's starting to be scary. lollolol

Did you get one?! Or looking for similar care with your Stapelia? It's probably a plant I could tell you what I think I've done wrong mostly! Haha.

When I got mine, I didn't water it enough and it dropped one of it's arms and so I've been rerooting that part of it, but seems good now. I just give them a good water if they're squishy and when the pot is light (and if they have the roots to suck up water--just not wanting to over water the one that doesn't have any or not too many roots). But that has been my tactic is all! Not planning on watering too much if they don't look like they need it this winter, but since it'll be warm and fireplace dry, I think I'll make sure to keep tabs on them anyways, if that makes sense (no repeating lost limbs hopefully or anything .)

I have mine in the SW facing window indoors.

Ok, so very standard succulent care. Good to know. A lot like the stapelia/orbea variegata. What are their growing rates like? Root system?
One thing about transitioning to terracotta pots that isn’t exactly ideal, is that I can’t do proper soil checks anymore. Thankfully I didn’t rely on them much, but it was a good tool.

I don't think I can give a fair assessment on growth rate because I slowed it down so much, but I can speak on its resilience and I mean, for the 3 months I've had it, I think it has grown .

I'm excited to see H. hystrix if this acquisition happens! That will be a neat one to have!

What kind of pots did you use before terra cotta and how did it help with soil checks? Sorry I probably missed that in your previous posts. I've been tempted to get some clear pots just for fun, to check root health and everything for certain plants but then they're plastic, so .
