Been meaning to ask (or maybe I did already): have you thought about designing/crocheting brooder buddy hens?

You did ask!! I think I may have lost the thread. It would be hard to crochet something large enough for a mother hen on a regular basis (unless I used a really chunky yarn that would probably be hard to clean) but the small ones could definitely work. I'm just not sure how much of a market there would be for them

Good morning everyone, anyone have awesome plans for this weekend?
I’m trying to keep my kids off their tablets while simultaneously getting lots of me time.

We’re going to bake a cake today and plan a complete Valentine’s Day menu. It’s rainy, so no walks on the bay trail right now. Makes it a little more challenging to limit screen time.

Time to look through the yarn and set kiddo up with knitting or something.

Got 11 inches of snow here.
All the birds, except for 1 molting/half-naked hen, are doing great!
I'm not really liking having snow right now, only because it's been making it harder for me to work my arms when working out in the coop. I get cold easily even with extra layers on.

I just happened on this thread while scrolling through BYC. So glad to have found it. I read the first and last 10 pages or so trying to catch up. With a few exceptions it seems friendly, supportive and open minded. Might take me awhile to add my own story but now I know you are here. Thanks.

we are waiting for the next 5 days of crazy weather--5-6 more inches of snow by Tuesday, frigid temps, and 12-more inches on Thursday. Already have 2 ft on gound
