LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

Do you wear a mask? If you do, you sound like a pretty nice person.
Of course it was horrifying when Texas reopened and I once again had people crawling up my backside in no time. My wife is a nurse and I ended my career as one. It is so cringe worthy seeing people who technically wear one but don't think sealing the bridge of the nose is needed when it is an option. We make fun of people who can't wear one properly on TV.

I figured a place like this would be a little bit of a mess regarding this topic. Oh well.

Anyway hey y'all! I'm non-binary, bisexual, and really love chickens as well. I have a whole host of breeds (from the decision to start our original flock with as many as possible lol) but mainly focus on watermaal and have a few pet seramas as well who make dedicated little broodies for my hatching needs!

I don't normally frequent this forum for much more than asking questions about poultry health and genetics, or finding myself here on the other end of a google search, but I am part of a very friendly discord server that is majority LGBTQ+ with a whole lot of poultry and pigeon breeders! (If anyone wants a link to that feel free to shoot me a PM)

Anyway, on a slightly related note.... LGBT can also stand for "Lets Get Birds Together" (if you like dumb puns) and that's great.

You picked an interesting night to join the thread! Lol welcome. What's a watermaal?

@Tre3hugger Watermaal are a belgian bantam breed and extremely rare in the US, though were added into the ABA book as of this year! Basically a d'anvers, but add on a poof like a polish minus the crested skull and then they have a unique rose comb with three little spikes at the end as well!

Here's one of my hens named Kestrel:

I currently have a trio plus a brand new baby chick and am hoping to breed a few worth showing by the time there are shows again next year (if the whole covid thing allows there to be shows that is)
