LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

and they all look up to Andrew Tate I bet 😭

I can't even express in words home much I dislike said person. Back when he got arrested (thankfully), there was a protest here with teenage straight men predominantly screaming "Free top G" I seriously want to bleach that memory off my head

I think I would have lost it.
Seeing it on social media is enough to make my blood boil

Somehow got no sleep at all. I was tossing around in my bed all night.
Kind of sucks because I'm picking my friend up at 7:30 to drive her to work. I don't plan on mentioning it when I pick her up because she's constantly apologizing for asking for rides to work even though I've said many times that I don't mind.

Wilco is 1.8 miles from her house and sometimes she ends up walking. Temps have been in the low 30s so I refuse to let my friend walk in the cold.

You sound like an incredible friend!
Do be careful though, and drive safely. Driving while sleep deprived sounds very not fun!

One thing to consider with sports like shutzhund is it might cause legal issues if something does go wrong and your assistance dog bites someone, since you are training your dog to bite. Also check if it is legal to do where you are, I have heard some people say that it is illegal to train a assistance dog in bitework but I don’t know if that is actually true anywhere

I plan to try as many sports as I can with my assistance dog and see what we like! Not many near us but I am going to try agility, rally, working trials, hoopers and maybe obedience

Yay I'm so excited for you! I don't think training for a protection sport would be much of a problem, a good protection dog shouldn't just bark around, but then I'm not an expert in bite sports so I might be wrong

Its less of a training issue and more that if something does go wrong with your dog in public it can be used against you, since people can argue that your dog is trained to bite. Its just something that anyone who wants to do bitework with their assistance dog needs to consider

It depends who does the training, if the dog is trained correctly, not so much a problem, if trained by someone who doesn't know what they're doing-- might not end well
