What about cats?
The neighbours cats seem to deter the rats here. She liked to nap on the fence behind my pen, watched the animals and keeps the rats away

Well, number one I'm too afraid of the cats getting close to the free ranged birds, and more scared of them getting to the chicks. Also Buddy is cat aggressive

Jeez what a freaking night. Went to the fair with my sister. Before the fun could even start we see this gross man knocking this whole group of women over, they crashed down hard and he just legged it. This was right next to us. One woman chased him but gave up fast. No freaking clue why he did that, perhaps he stole something- dunno if security caught him at the gate. I felt bad, one woman was older too. I felt the urge to go after him and get security to grab him, but he was gone too fast.
Then we try to get past that and enjoy the night
We go on a bunch of rides it was super thrilling!
On the way home my sister gets a text from a man she hardly knows from social media, he says he saw us at the fair and all this all shit that I wont dump on you guys. So yeah we got stalked by a creep just to end the night with a bang. Freaking men. (Not you guys, but urghhhhh).

That could be a problem with chicks, yeah.... hmm not sure what else I can suggest. But I'm in the same boat
Really can't afford to rewire my pen right now, and even if I could, I don't think I could keep rats out unless I wired the ground inside, and that would just rust. It's a no win

Just trying to cull them right now, keep the numbers down. In my town there are many massive infestations, they're causing harm to our landscape and wildlife so I'm not relocating anymore.

It's okay, it wasn't all bad. When we went on a spinny ride, we were talking about how I like women and stuff, my sister asked if I'd come out to our parents etc etc, and at that moment the music stereos started blasting out "I KISSED A GIRL AND I LIKED IT"
So we just vibed with the song, LOL.
That was the best moment of the night.

Yeah that's why I'll be going with terriers. They've been breed for many years to cull effectively
