I know this is normally a thread for just chatting, but since it has LGBTQ+ in the title, I thought I’d try and see if there’s any genderfluid /genderqueer poultry lovers out there like me!!

Not sure what I could have done wrong but I'm down to 15 chicks from the 25 that hatched. They have a heat plate in a spot where they can choose to leave if they want but most been staying underneath it 24/7. I put in flock raiser crumbles and a waterer for when they decided to start eating/drinking.
I just found them all dead with no signs of what it could be.

Welp, Target was still pretty much a bust with their prode section being small. There were some cute dresses I almost got, but I really doubt I'll wear a dress remotely soon.

Got a shirt though. Let's just hope vertical stripes don't make me look stupid.

I have a blanket I want to work on soon too, just need to get some black material for the bottom

How big is the plate?
Were they crowded into the middle and not able to get out maybe?

The biggest they come in. I'll have to check the box to get the size when I get home.
They were all spread out a bit with enough room to move if they wanted

I'm so sorry to hear that! Do you know what the temp under the plate was? Any chance of some sort of fumes coming off of it?

It usually stays between 96F-99F
No fumes at all
