LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I'm sorry if I am indicating I am dealing with it my community is. I just see the signs of disaster and take note. At some point I am going to have to go next door and see what help my next door neighbor needs as he was finally discharged from the hospital Friday evening and still hasn't gotten up the energy to make it to the fence. I know he is fine as he makes it to the porch and chats on the phone.
@AllenK RGV What a kind and generous neighbor you are.
We should all take a lesson from you and your kindness, it would make for a much better world. :hugs

She dug her claws into my hand and literally ripped the tendon. It didn’t tear all the way though. So it should heal, at least that’s what the nurse said. It was a disgusting wound though.
Was she just hanging out on your hand and decided to leave, or were you trying to grab her or somethin???

I was holding her, and she got upset because I wouldn’t give her my chewing-gum. So then she scratched up my hand trying to get it out of my mouth, and the rebellion begun. I still kept my gum though.

That's incredible. I mean, I choose not to get that up close and personal with my birds but I can see why people do. Some chickens can be quite cuddly. What flavor was the gum?

Spearmint. She is the only bird that likes being held, and she is very spoiled. If she sees something she wants, she will fight for it. That is why she is at the top of the pecking order, even above my cockerel.
