And since she's the only dog I haven't really posted yet, this is Persephone (Persy), The Star. She's 13, and extremely well mannered and consistent with her tricks and behavior. She really likes showing off for people by doing tricks for their attention. She does not jump but will instead do a classic "beg" pose and try to offer you her paw if you don't pay attention to her. She likes to make friends with small animals and children.

I've always thought it so amusing how offended dogs can get about hats. Do they think the hat is some kind of predator, trying to eat my head? ...or is it that the hat obscures my face, and the dog thinks I'm trying to hide from them? It's such a funny reaction they have.
You should try going near my horses in a hoodie with the hood up... It's not pretty...

Ok my possum killing cat has not retired. He just brought us a rabbit, then growled at us for trying to take it away. The bunny got rescued.
We had a mama cat with 4 kittens when I was a kid, came home one day and mama cat was laying off to the side of the driveway watching as her kittens rubbed all over and circled a terrified rabbit. She hadn't hurt it, we assume she caught it and brought it to teach the kittens how to hunt but they thought it was a new friend...

Mom and I grabbed the mama cat and kittens, dad grabbed the rabbit. Mom and I took the cats inside and dad took the rabbit off into the woods and turned it loose.

Pretty funny, about as good as the mice that rode my brothers snake around the cage...

I'm horse-ignorant. What do horses do when they see something they don't like?
Well, mine just generally act like idiots. Run around, snort, flip their tails up... but the problem comes when they start running and bucking because if they aren't careful, you can get a hoof to the face really easy. Now, my horses are respectful and would never kick ME but when I have a hood up I dont think they know it is me so I dont know just how stupid they are going to get.

Pets that are capable of trampling me make me very nervous.
